Adam Sandler Named Highest-Paid Actor of 2025 by Forbes

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The magazine Forbes recently revealed the lineup of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood for the year 2025. Actor and comedian Adam Sandler leads the list, which was released on Friday, March 13, 2026. Sandler is reported to have earned a net income of US$48 million or approximately Rp814 billion in the last fiscal year.

In 2025, People noted several film projects that brought in significant profits for Sandler. For instance, the sequel to the 1996 comedy film Happy Gilmore 2, which was starred in and produced by the 59-year-old actor born in Brooklyn.

The voice behind the character Drac in Hotel Transylvania also appeared in the film Jay Kelly and co-starred with George Clooney, who ranked 13th on the list. Sandler played Ron Sukenick in the Netflix-produced film, a performance that successfully earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 2026 Golden Globes.

Decrease in Earnings

Despite topping the list in 2025, Sandler's earnings are significantly less compared to the highest-paid Hollywood actor in the previous year, Dwayne Johnson. A report from AOL indicates that in 2024, the WWE megastar was able to earn an amount of USD88 million, nearly reaching Rp1.5 trillion. This amount is almost double of what Sandler managed to earn in 2025.

The total earnings of the 20 highest-paid actors in Hollywood listed by Forbes this year also show a significant decrease, totaling US$590 million. This marks a 20% decrease from the previous year's total of US$730 million.

List of Highest-Paid Actors in 2025

Aside from Adam Sandler, several other seasoned actors have also made their mark in the list of highest-paid Hollywood actors in 2025. These include Tom Cruise, Mark Wahlberg, Daniel Craig, and Denzel Washington. Additionally, Eleven from the Stranger Things franchise, Millie Bobby Brown, became the youngest actor ever to be included in the Forbes list at 22 years old.
