TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - United States President Donald Trump has warned Iran that the U.S. could launch additional strikes if Iran does not make peace, advocating for a diplomatic resolution following his decision to attack three Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday night, June 21.
"Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks will be far greater and a lot easier," Trump stated in his address to the American people Saturday night, as reported by CNN.
He went on, "This cannot continue. There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran, far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days. Remember, there are many targets left."
Trump cautioned that the U.S. could "go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill," a feat he claimed could be accomplished "in a matter of minutes."
During his address from the White House Cross Hall, Trump also described the U.S. military strike on the three Iranian nuclear facilities as a "spectacular military success."
"Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated," Trump declared in his first public address since the attack.
He was accompanied by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
