Disney’s Live-Action Lilo & Stitch Cast List

1. Lilo - Maia Kealoha

Making her big-screen debut, Maia Kealoha steps into the lead role of the independent Lilo. The 8-year-old actor, a fresh face from Hawaii, is widely praised for her authenticity, charm, and resonating the same vibes as the character’s spirit. 

2. Stitch - Chris Sanders

Chris Sanders, the co-director and co-writer of the original 2002 Lilo & Stitch, returns to voice the mischievous blue alien, Stitch. He originally created the character in 1985 for a children’s book proposal that was ultimately rejected. 

Years later, while working as head storyboard artist at Disney Feature Animation, Sanders successfully pitched the idea once again. He went on to voice Stitch in Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch (2005) and Leroy & Stitch (2006).

3. Nani - Sydney Agudong 

Sydney Agudong is the voice behind Lilo’s protective and compassionate older sister, Nani. This marks Agudong’s biggest Hollywood role to date. The 24-year-old Hawaiian actress is the sister of Siena Agudong, who starred in Resident Evil and Star Falls.

4. Pleakley - Billy Magnussen 

Known for his role in Aladdin (2019), Billy Magnussen takes on the role of the quirky and nervous alien, Agent Pleakley. A member of the United Galactic Federation, the one-eyed alien proudly considers himself an “expert” on Earth, though his knowledge is often hilariously inaccurate. He was originally voiced by Kevin McDonald.

5. Jumba - Zach Galifianakis

Originally voiced by David Ogden Stiers, Dr. Jumba Jookiba is now brought to life by The Hangover trilogy star Zach Galifianakis. Jumba is the four-eyed alien scientist who created Stitch. After his experiment escapes, he travels to Earth alongside Agent Pleakly to capture the blue creature. In a surprising turn, Jumba soon becomes part of Lilo and Nani’s ohana.

6. David - Kaipo Dudoit 

Kaipo Dudoit plays David Kawena, Nani’s surfer and fire dancer boyfriend. As noted by Entertainment Weekly, Kahiau Machado was originally set for the role but was later removed after past social media posts containing racial slurs resurfaced. 

7. Tutu - Amy Hill

A newly added character, Tutu is David's grandmother and the longtime neighbor of Nani and Lilo. She is played by Amy Hill, who previously voiced the cat-loving fruit stand owner, Lynne Hasagawa, in the 2002 animated Lilo & Stitch.

8. Cobra Bubbles - Courtney B. Vance

Emmy-winner actor Courtney B. Vance lends his commanding presence to Cobra Bubbles, the mysterious yet well-meaning social worker. While the animated version has Bubbles as a former CIA agent working as Lilo’s social worker, the live-action remake reimagines him as an undercover CIA operative posing as a social worker due to Lilo’s link to Stitch. The character was originally voiced by Mission: Impossible star Ving Rhames.

9. Mrs. Kekoa - Tia Carerre 

In a heartfelt nod to the original, Tia Carrere, who voiced Nani in the 2002 animated film, returns in a new role as Mrs. Kekoa. This by-the-book social worker regularly checks in with Nani. Carerre’s casting adds a beautiful layer of continuity for longtime fans and reinforces the film’s connection to its roots.

10. Grand Councilwoman - Hannah Waddingham

Another Emmy winner participating in the live-action Lilo & Stitch cast is Hannah Waddingham as Grand Councilwoman. With her commanding voice and regal screen presence, Waddingham brings both elegance and intensity to this head of the Galactic Federation responsible for overseeing Stitch’s fate.
