TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Beirut participated in the interior design and home decoration exhibition "Art of Living 2025" held from May 28 to June 1, 2025, at the Forum de Beyrouth, Lebanon.
During the exhibition, KBRI Beirut promoted Indonesian wooden, rattan, and bamboo furniture products offered by two Indonesian companies, CV Fortune Enterprise and CV Berkat Bintang Sejati, as well as a Lebanese company that imports furniture products from Indonesia, Carpet & Carpet.
According to the official release from KBRI Beirut, the Art of Living 2025 Exhibition was officially opened by Lebanon's Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Bisat, through a ribbon-cutting procession as a symbol of inauguration on May 28, 2025. The opening was also attended by the Charge d'Affaires of KBRI Beirut, Achmad Ramadhan, and several representatives from the diplomatic corps in Lebanon.
During his speech, Bisat expressed appreciation for the participation of representatives from foreign countries who showcased their superior products. These representatives included those from Indonesia, known for its high-quality, competitively priced products.
Based on KBRI Beirut's report, Indonesia's total exports to Lebanon in 2024 reached US$108.4 million, with furniture and home decor products accounting for $88.494 million of Indonesia's total exports to Lebanon.
The KBRI in Beirut continues to promote Indonesian furniture and home décor exports, capitalizing on Lebanon's reconstruction needs while competing with similar products from China, Italy, and Turkey that currently dominate the local market.
KBRI Beirut also took the opportunity of the exhibition to further promote Indonesia's tourism potential in cooperation with Lebanese travel agency, Tala Tour, offering travel packages to, among others, Bali, Lombok, Thousand Islands, and several other tourist destinations in Indonesia.
Indonesian tourism promotion is also supported by a visa corner providing information on the ease of obtaining visas for travel to Indonesia. In addition, through digital media channels, KBRI Beirut promotes investment opportunities and Indonesia's cultural wealth.
