TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A video showing a skyscraper being bombed from above circulated on Instagram [archive], Facebook, and TikTok on March 5, 2026. The footage was claimed to be an Iranian missile attack on a building in Israel.
The video shows an urban scene with rows of tall buildings. One of the buildings then explodes and is completely destroyed. "High-rise building in Israel destroyed by Iranian missile," reads the caption of the viral post.

However, does the content really show an Iranian attack on a building in Israel?
FACT CHECK
Tempo verified the content using visual analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) detection tools. The results showed that although Iran and Israel were still attacking each other, the video was artificially generated.
Video Oddities
Tempo examined several oddities that indicated the video was a fabrication. First, the reflection on the exploding building appeared out of sync; the shadow visuals were disproportionately distorted, both in terms of shape and size of the surrounding buildings.

Second, two skyscrapers appear to be unnaturally close together—an architectural anomaly impossible to find in real-world designs. Third, although the explosion only affected the top, the entire building disappeared instantly, leaving no debris or material debris.

The fourth oddity is seen in the traffic flow below the building. Despite the massive explosion, the car drivers appear calm, showing no signs of panic. This kind of visual logic flaw is typical of content produced by artificial intelligence.
The Video was Created with AI Technology
The results of the manual analysis align with those of the AI detection tool, Hive Moderation. Hive's analysis indicates an 86.8 percent probability of AI elements. AI elements are mostly found in the clip from the first, second, third, and tenth seconds.

Meanwhile, the Zhuque AI Detector Assistant detection tool stated that the probability of the clip being the result of AI technology was 98.83 percent.

CONCLUSION
Tempo's verification results concluded that the narrative in the video was false.
The footage claiming that skyscrapers in Israel were destroyed by an Iranian attack was proven to be an AI fabrication.
