TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will auction off goods confiscated from corruption cases it has handled. Mungki Hadipratikno, KPK's Director of Asset Tracing, Evidence Management, and Execution (Labuksi), stated that the auction will take place on June 11, 2025.
"In June 2025, we will hold an auction of 81 lots, consisting of 44 lots of movable goods and 37 other lots," Mungki said at the Red and White KPK Building, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
The KPK auction will also be held at 13 State Property and Auction Service Offices (KPKNL) throughout Indonesia. Mungki mentioned that these 13 areas include Jakarta, Bandung, Bogor, Yogyakarta, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Dumai, Tangerang, Surabaya, Purwokerto, Bekasi, Banda Aceh, and Pekalongan.
The goods to be auctioned off are the result of confiscation from 32 corruption cases handled by the KPK. Mungki stated that the KPK will also re-auction goods that were unsold in previous periods. The auctioned goods include batik clothes, mobile phones, cars, motorcycles, and even a piece of land and a building.
"Looking at the lowest value, one long-sleeved silk shirt has a limit price of Rp5,700. Meanwhile, the highest value is a plot of land and a building sold for Rp16,978,428,000," he said.
The auction winners will be announced five days after the auction. Mungki stated that the winners must fulfill their obligation to pay the auction money within a five-day period. The auction proceeds will become state revenue, not taxes or non-tax state revenues (PNBP).
"If the five-day limit is exceeded, the money will be considered in default. The guarantee money will then be confiscated and transferred to the state treasury," said Mungki.
The KPK has only held the auction three times, in December 2024, March, and June 2025. In June of this year, he estimated the profit from the auction process to be around Rp122 billion. "It is hoped that all items will be sold," he said.
