TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Immigration officers apprehended Australian national Darcy Francesco Jenson (DFJ), suspected of involvement in the shooting of two fellow Australians in Bali.
DFJ was arrested while attempting to depart Indonesia via Soekarno-Hatta Airport on the morning of Monday, June 16, 2025. According to the Directorate General of Immigration, DFJ was en route to Singapore, with Cambodia as his final destination.
At 06:25 AM local time, DFJ was flagged by the airport's autogate system, which identified him as blacklisted following a request from Interpol Indonesia. Immigration officers immediately escorted him to the Directorate General of Immigration for further questioning.
"This arrest proves that our autogate is a reliable solution for efficient passenger crossing with the best security," said Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman in a written statement on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The Immigration Supervision Subdirectorate, in coordination with Interpol Indonesia, found substantial evidence linking DFJ to a shooting incident that occurred at a villa in Banjar Sedahan, Badung, Bali, early Saturday morning, June 14. One victim, Zivan Radmanovic, died at the scene, while another, Sanar Ghanim, sustained gunshot injuries and remains under police watch.
Following coordination with Badung Police, a team led by Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Muhammad Said Husein arrived at the Immigration Directorate General office at 10:00 PM. By 10:30 PM, they completed the formal handover and escorted DFJ to Bali for further legal proceedings.
"In accordance with our duties and functions, we hand over DFJ to the police for interrogation and follow-up on the alleged criminal acts he committed," Yuldi said.
Minister of Immigration and Prison Agus Andrianto commended the arrest as an example of institutional synergy. "DFJ's arrest shows the effectiveness of Immigration and Interpol coordination, as well as the crucial role of technology and inter-institutional collaboration in maintaining the country's security and sovereignty," said Agus.
The Bali Regional Police have identified three Australian citizens as suspects in the shooting at Villa Casa Santisya 1, Munggu Village, Badung. Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya confirmed their involvement in the incident that left one person dead.
"We believe they are the perpetrators, they are the executors. All three have been declared suspects, Australian citizens according to their passports," Daniel said during a press conference at the Badung Police Station on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The three suspects have been named as Tupou Pasa Midolmore (37), Coskunmevlut (23), and Darcy Francesco Jenson (37). Daniel noted that their status as suspects was based on evidence and witness testimony gathered by investigators.
