TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Religious Affairs has stated that up to now, 184,000 Indonesian pilgrims have received the "Nusuk" card. This card is an access marker for hajj services while in the Holy Land. Companies that provide hajj pilgrimage services issue the card.
The number of Nusuk card recipients includes regular and special Hajj pilgrims who have arrived in Saudi Arabia ahead of next month's hajj pilgrimage peak. "As of today, a total of 193,778 Indonesian pilgrims have arrived in the Holy Land. Of that number, 184,201 Hajj pilgrims—both regular and special—have received the Nusuk card," said Hajj Consul at the Indonesian Consulate General in Jeddah, Nasrullah Jasam, quoted from an official statement on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
For the 2025 hajj pilgrimage, the Indonesian Hajj Pilgrimage Organizer Committee (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia works with eight companies to manage services for Indonesian pilgrims. They are Rifadah, Rawaf Mina, Mashariq Dzahabiyah (Sana Mashariq), Rifad, Mashariq Mutamayyizah (Rakeen Mashariq), Dluyuful Bait, Rehlat wa Manafea, and MCDC.
Nasrullah stated that the PPIH is taking several steps to expedite the distribution of the Nusuk card to pilgrims who have not yet received it. These steps include setting up a special operations room, appointing responsible persons in each sector and regional work area (daker), and using digital reporting based on flight groups (kloter).
"We continue to urge companies to distribute the Nusuk card promptly to Indonesian Hajj pilgrims who have not yet received it," Nasrullah said.
The Nusuk card is an important tool that allows pilgrims to access hajj services, especially during the peak of the hajj pilgrimage in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna). Currently, the operational hajj activities for Indonesians are centered in Mecca. The arrival of hajj pilgrims from Indonesia through Jeddah to Mecca is scheduled to continue until May 31, 2025.
