KAI Launches 'Schooliday' Promo with 20% Discount for 2025 School Holidays

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - In anticipation of the 2025 school holiday season, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Daop 1 Jakarta is launching a 20 percent ticket discount through a special promotion called Schooliday. The offer is valid for travel between June 15 and July 15, 2025.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Ixfan Hendriwintoko explained that the promotion is a gesture of appreciation for customers, particularly families who choose train travel during the school break.

"The school holiday is a much-awaited moment for children and parents. Through the Schooliday promo, we aim to provide a travel experience that is not only comfortable and safe but also more affordable and memorable," he said in Jakarta on Monday, May 26, 2025.

Tickets with the Schooliday discount can be purchased via all available sales channels from May 23 to June 8, 2025, for travel within the promo period.

Discount Exclusions

The discount does not apply to certain train categories, including luxury, suite class, priority, imperial, panoramic, and other tourist trains. However, KAI Wisata is separately offering special fares for Panoramic and Priority services starting at Rp 100,000.

Additionally, the Schooliday discount cannot be used with special fares or combined with other promotional offers.

Ixfan also noted that passengers can still cancel or reschedule tickets purchased under the promotion, following standard regulations.

"We invite the public to plan a holiday with their families by train. In addition to being comfortable, the train also provides an enjoyable and storytelling travel experience," he added.
