TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -  The film It Was Just an Accident, directed by Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi, which recently won the Palme d'Or, the highest honor at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, is now available to Indonesian audiences. Starting in June, KlikFilm will stream this and other award-winning titles from Cannes 2025.

KlikFilm Director Frederica explained that showcasing Cannes-winning films reflects their dedication to bringing the most talked-about international cinema to local viewers.

"These films represent the most courageous, original, and touching stories from current world cinema. We are honored to bring the spirit of Cannes to audiences in Indonesia," Frederica said in a press release received by Tempo on Monday, May 26, 2025. She confirmed that all Cannes 2025 winners will be available exclusively on KlikFilm.

It Was Just an Accident was made secretly in Iran. With a restrained yet urgent narrative style, Panahi has created a moral thriller centered on guilt and complicity within a tightly controlled society.
