
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) advances to the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after a resounding 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in the semifinals at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, early Thursday morning WIB (Western Indonesian Time), July 10. They secured the win with goals from Fabian Ruiz (2), Ousmane Dembele, and Goncalo Ramos.
Thanks to this victory, PSG will now face Chelsea in the final match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, early Monday morning, July 14, 2025, at 02:00 WIB.
Statistically, in this match, PSG outperformed Real Madrid with 69 percent ball possession and 17 shots, seven of which were on target.
PSG immediately displayed an attacking style of play from the start and managed to create opportunities through a shot by Nuno Mendes that was saved by Madrid's goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.
Nevertheless, PSG took the lead early in the sixth minute with a goal scored by Fabian Ruiz after seizing the ball from Ousmane Dembele's pass, making the score 1-0.
Just three minutes later, PSG doubled their lead to 2-0 through a goal by Dembele, taking advantage of Madrid's defensive error.
Despite being two goals ahead, PSG continued their attacking play and extended their lead to 3-0 in the 24th minute with another goal from Fabian Ruiz, utilizing a pass from Achraf Hakimi.
Entering the second half, PSG continued their attacking play and almost scored again through Desire Doue, but the goal was disallowed by the referee due to offside.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid made efforts to at least narrow the gap, but their attempts were in vain.
On the other hand, PSG further extended their lead to 4-0 in the 87th minute after a pass from Bradley Barcola was converted into a goal by Goncalo Ramos. The score remained unchanged until the end of the match.
