Meaning of the Name and Vision of 1VERSE
The name 1VERSE combines the word 'verse', which means stanza, together forming 'universe'. The number 1 in their name is read as 'uni', representing unity and harmony. Singing Beetle agency explained that this philosophy reflects the backgrounds and journeys of the members from different countries and life experiences.
Singing Beetle CEO, Michelle Cho, stated that the group brings something authentic and touching. She revealed that fans can expect something real, strong, uplifting, and touching. "This debut reflects who 1VERSE really is, the inspiring journey they have taken to this point, and what kind of future they are ready to shape," Cho said, as quoted from Allkpop.
Cho, who is also the executive producer of 1VERSE, previously worked as a recording producer at SM Entertainment, one of the largest agencies in the K-Pop industry. The music projects she handled in the past have sold over 8 million albums. Her experience is now used to shape and launch what she calls a new K-pop universe through 1VERSE.
