TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Several countries in Asia are beginning to evacuate their citizens from Israel and Iran amidst the conflict triggered by Israeli airstrikes on Iranian territory, as reported by Antara and Anadolu on Tuesday.
China has instructed its citizens to leave the conflict areas "as soon as possible," while India has urged its citizens in Iran to leave the capital Tehran immediately.

Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya stated that the government is preparing for the possible evacuation of Japanese citizens from Iran and Israel, including collaborating with a third country.
"The situation has become increasingly strained, so we will stay on guard to protect our nationals," Iwaya said, while urging the warring parties to exercise restraint.
Malaysia "strongly advised" its citizens to leave Iran immediately. The government continues to monitor the situation through the Malaysian embassy in Tehran, according to The Star.

Meanwhile, the Thai government is prepared to evacuate its citizens from Israel if the conflict escalates, as reported by the Nation Thailand.
Approximately 40,000 Thai citizens currently reside in Israel, the majority of whom are plantation workers placed through the government's labor program. Meanwhile, around 300 Thai citizens are recorded to be in Iran.
"The government has prepared all necessary measures to help Thai workers," said Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
He added that the Thai Air Force has prepared military aircraft for potential evacuations.
Bangladesh has also expressed concerns for the safety of around 400 of its citizens in Iran. According to the Bangladeshi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "efforts are now underway to ensure their safe evacuation."
Indonesia's government, on the other hand, stated that it continues to monitor the situation to ensure the safety of Indonesian citizens in Iran.
"We must coordinate, especially with the Foreign Minister, to continue monitoring our people in Iran, to ensure their safety," said State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi on Tuesday.
Previously, it was reported that dozens of Indonesian citizens were stranded in Israel, Jordan, and Iran since the end of last week. They consist of 42 pilgrims in Israel, eight Hajj pilgrims in Jordan, and two pilgrims in Iran.
"The Indonesian citizens on these trips are stranded due to the closure of airspace and the suspension of flights," said Judha Nugraha, Director for Citizen Protection at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Monday.
He ensured that these citizens are receiving assistance from the Indonesian Embassies in Amman and Tehran.
