TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Education in Palestine has denied the news on social media about the curriculum changes, stating that the reports quoted textbooks altered by the Israeli authorities for schools in Jerusalem.
The report claims that the changes made are part of a policy to enforce a pro-Israeli narrative in the city.
In a statement on Saturday, as reported by Antara, the Ministry of Education of Palestine mentioned that several foreign media deliberately attempted to clash with Palestine's commitment to adapting the education system according to UNESCO standards, with examples of fabrications that do not actually exist in the Palestinian curriculum.
Furthermore, the foreign media cited content in textbooks circulated in Jerusalem that has been altered by the Zionist Israeli colonizers.
The Ministry of Education of Palestine reaffirms its commitment to UNESCO's standards for quality education by implementing an integrated education system that strengthens learning activities and enhances achievements.
It was stated that the Palestinian authorities have begun trials of interactive schools in preparation for the implementation of integrated high school exams (Tawjihi) under the new system within the next two years.
Additionally, efforts have been made to strengthen the teaching profession and other elements of the comprehensive education modernization plan in line with international standards and labor market demands.
The Ministry of Education of Palestine encourages media institutions and the public to prioritize accurate information. They urge everyone to avoid spreading misleading information from parties attempting to provoke public reactions and internal tensions.
