TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Soekarno-Hatta Airport is ensuring full readiness to facilitate the return of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims for the 1446 H/2025 M season, which will commence on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in the early morning.
"We ensure that all supporting facilities are ready for use during the return period," said Dwi Ananda Wicaksana, General Manager of airport operator PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Branch Office, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Dwi explained that the pilgrims' return phase begins with the arrival of those from the Jakarta-Pondok Gede Embarkation (JKG) and Jakarta-Bekasi (JKS). A total of 51,314 pilgrims from both embarkations are expected to arrive gradually until July 10, 2025. They will be transported by Garuda Indonesia and Saudia Airlines, arriving at Terminal 2F.
The airport's readiness includes ensuring a smooth arrival process, an integrated baggage handling system, health services provided through dedicated rooms, and support from officials of the Health Quarantine Office (BBKK).
Dwi conveyed that several operational steps have been prepared to ensure the seamlessness of the return process. "We are ready to welcome the return of Hajj pilgrims at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Similar to the departure phase, we have made preparations from the outset to support a smooth return, from adjusting service flows to ensuring the readiness of personnel and facilities," he said.
He expressed hope that the entire return process would run smoothly until its conclusion, marking a positive end to this year's Hajj journey for the pilgrims. The company continues to coordinate with all relevant parties to maintain the efficiency and orderliness of services within the arrival terminal.
