TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that his patience with Iran is "wearing thin" and demanded Iran's unconditional surrender.
Trump asserted that the United States could easily eliminate Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei but is currently choosing not to.
"We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now," Trump wrote in a Truth Social post, as reported by Antara.
The U.S. leader continued, "But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin."
In a subsequent Truth Social post, Trump declared: "UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"
Earlier in the day, Trump also posted on Truth Social that the United States had gained "full and total control" of Iran's airspace.
