Indonesian Animation 'Jumbo' Concert to Hit the Stage on August 17

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The animated film Jumbo will be brought on stage for a concert and festival titled Konser Jumbo: Keajaiban Musik dan Cerita Kita (Jumbo Concert: The Wonders of Our Music and Stories). The event, intended for all ages, will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Beach City International Stadium, Ancol, North Jakarta.

The village of Seruni and the characters from the animated film Jumbo will be brought to life in the festival produced by Visinema Studios and Antara Suara. With a viewership of more than 10 million since its premiere on March 31, 2025, Jumbo has made history as the best-selling Indonesian film of all time.

Meet Don, Meri, and Friends on Stage

This concert will adapt the Jumbo story developed by Ryan Adriandhy, the film director, who also acts as the Creative Director of the concert alongside Nuya Susantono.

The film characters Don, Meri, and friends will come together in a concert format that combines theatrical narration and visual storytelling with original music arrangements from Jumbo. Audiences can now witness Don and his friends—who were previously seen only on screen—singing, dialoguing, and interacting directly on stage.

Through the Jumbo concert, we want to bring a closer and livelier experience to create magical moments for children and an unforgettable experience for families and audiences of all ages," said Anggia Kharisma, producer of the film Jumbo and Chief Content Officer of Visinema Studios.

Ariel NOAH and BCL Will Perform

This concert will feature selected children's songs and the original soundtrack from the film Jumbo, rearranged by Laleilmanino as the Music Director. A series of musicians who will perform are those who were also involved in the film Jumbo, namely Prince Poetiray, Quinn Salman, Ariel NOAH, BCL, RAN, Maliq & D'Essentials, Aci Resti, and the children from Kids Ensemble.

Not Just a Music Show

According to Andri Verraning Ayu, CEO of Antara Suara as the Jumbo promoter, this event extends beyond a mere music show, as a festival experience that brings the universe of Jumbo to life.

Visitors will be greeted by Independence Day-themed competitions, children's games, exclusive merchandise booths, thematic photobooths, and interactive playgrounds before the main show begins at 3:00 p.m. local time.

"What makes the Jumbo concert special is that it offers an experience that can be felt directly by everyone, not just families. From games, visual installations, and curated culinary booths, to a strong musical performance in terms of storytelling," said Andri. Tickets for the Jumbo concert are available in various categories starting from Rp250,000.
