INA Ranked Second Among Asia's State Investment Managers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) is ranked second as the sovereign wealth fund (SWF) with the best governance, sustainability, and institutional resilience in Asia based on the Governance, Sustainability and Resilience (GSR) Scoreboard 2026 published by Global SWF.

In the assessment, INA received an overall score of 92 percent, with Governance scoring 9 out of 10, Sustainability scoring 9 out of 10, and Resilience scoring 5 out of 5. This achievement placed INA just below Singapore's Temasek Holdings.

INA Chairman of the Board of Directors, Oki Ramadhana, in a discussion on Wednesday, said that this achievement is important amid increasing global uncertainty because credibility and governance are now among the main considerations for investors in choosing investment partners.

"Amidst uncertainty, geopolitics, and various changes in the economic environment, the GSR is crucial for any institution to attract investment. This is especially true for INA, which has a mandate to attract investment, both domestic and foreign, to Indonesia," Oki said at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, as quoted by ANTARA.

He said that global investors now assess sovereign wealth funds based not only on the size of their assets under management or investment portfolios, but also on the quality of their governance, transparency, investment discipline, and institutional resilience.

He explained that the GSR Scoreboard evaluates about 25 indicators related to governance, sustainability, and institutional resilience. This makes it a useful tool for investors looking for credible partners.

"What's more important is governance. Our overseas investment partners see governance as a key factor in selecting partners to invest in Indonesia," he said.

Oki stated that this achievement is expected to strengthen global investor confidence in Indonesia even more. He believes INA's success in building its institutional reputation will have a broader impact on the national economy through increased investment.

Global SWF is an independent research platform that monitors approximately 200 sovereign wealth and public pension funds worldwide. It does so by assessing governance practices, sustainability, and institutional resilience based on publicly available information.

Since its inception in 2021, INA's GSR score has steadily increased from 24 percent in 2021 to 52 percent in 2022, 56 percent in 2023, 60 percent in 2024, 68 percent in 2025, and finally reaching 92 percent in 2026.
