TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST), the operator of KFC Indonesia, recorded a consolidated loss of Rp369.2 billion in 2025. The company’s financial statement revealed that short-term liabilities reached Rp1.99 trillion, exceeding its consolidated current assets of Rp667 billion.
"The management continues to actively oversee the Group's liquidity and remains confident in its ability to meet financial obligations as they fall due," FAST management stated in a financial report published via the Indonesia Stock Exchange disclosure, cited on Monday, April 20, 2026.
The company attributed the loss to macroeconomic headwinds stemming from geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and a decline in consumer purchasing power.
In response to these conditions, the company noted it has proactively launched several strategic initiatives. These include bolstering core business performance and market competitiveness by leveraging brand equity and optimizing the product mix. This involves emphasizing core menu items and implementing disciplined pricing and bundling strategies aimed at increasing average transaction values and margins.
Furthermore, the company has tightened cost-control measures by driving efficiency in promotions, packaging, and supplier management, while reducing its reliance on discount-driven sales. FAST has also reinforced liquidity management by prioritizing cash outflows for essential operational requirements.
In its official statement, FAST management acknowledged that the current landscape is challenging. "Management has evaluated factors related to the Group’s current condition and remains convinced of its ability to sustain operations and fulfill obligations within normal business activities," the statement concluded.
