TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - OpenAI confirmed that ChatGPT experienced disturbances, as several users had complained since Tuesday, June 10th, 2025. The company owned by Sam Altman stated that technicians also observed errors and latency in ChatGPT and the Application Programming Interface (API).
"Our engineers have identified the root cause and are working as fast as possible to fix it," OpenAI wrote through social media X on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025.
In the status update published by OpenAI, the management had investigated this issue since Tuesday afternoon at 13.36. Several users complained about the errors and response latency on ChatGPT until 19.00.
OpenAI then stated that they identified the root cause of the issue, which led to increased errors and latency across all listed services. The process of mitigating this issue continued late into the night.
From 22.42 to 05.00 in the morning, OpenAI stated they were still undergoing full recovery on the API and ChatGPT. After that, the AI ChatGPT chatbot was ensured to function properly for all users.
OpenAI is still experiencing increased error rates in voice mode and is working to resolve this issue.
