TEMPO.CO, Jakarta  Poland launched on Monday an investigation into a fire at a drone production factory south of Warsaw, suspecting terrorism and the involvement of a foreign intelligence service.

According to the prosecution statement, the probe had started "for participation in the activities of a foreign intelligence service directed against the Republic of Poland and for a terrorist offence, consisting of deliberately causing a fire on the premises of the WB Electronics factory using a device containing flammable materials."

The WB Electronics factory in Skarzysko-Kamienna, located 150 kilometers south of Warsaw, was reported on fire shortly after midnight Monday. The facility manufactures key components for drones.

Firefighters spent two hours containing the fire. There were no injuries in the incident.

The country's Internal Security Agency (ABW) is assisting the police with the investigation, officials said.

The company specializes in developing and manufacturing advanced defense technologies, including digital command and control systems, automated fire control systems, communications equipment, and modern unmanned strike systems.
