Westlife Picks GBK for 25th Anniversary Concert in Jakarta

The legendary pop group Westlife is set to return to Jakarta as part of the Asian leg of their "Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour." The concert is scheduled to take place at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium on Saturday, January 23, 2027.

This concert will be the only stadium show in Southeast Asia for this particular tour. "This is our biggest show ever in Indonesia. You do not wanna miss this one. It's gonna be incredible," said Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, and Kian Egan in a video played during a press conference in Jakarta on Friday, May 8, 2026. "This is gonna be the best show we’ve ever put on for you."

Folagopro and Sound Rhythm are the promoters behind the upcoming Jakarta date. Ahmad Satrio, Head of Marketing and Communication at Sound Rhythm, stated that the members of Westlife personally selected the GBK Main Stadium to celebrate their 25-year journey with their Indonesian fans.

The group first set sights on the main stadium during a soundcheck for their performance at the neighboring GBK Madya Stadium on February 11, 2023. "At that time, discussions regarding this 25th-anniversary tour were already underway. They wanted their 25th anniversary to be held there (the GBK Main Stadium)," Satrio noted.

Promising a More Magnificent Concert

The promoters have guaranteed that this concert will feature a significantly larger production than the group's 2023 show at Madya Stadium. "It will definitely be bigger and more magnificent," Satrio added.

Michael Haumahu, Chief Marketing Officer of Folagopro, mentioned that beyond the large-scale stadium concept, the focus is on ensuring the audience can sing along in comfort. One of the highlighted features is the provision of LED bracelets for all attendees.

"Next year, we will provide something more memorable at the GBK Main Stadium. We can all sing along together. Everyone will be seated, so there is no need to worry. A special highlight is the LED bracelet experience given to every attendee," Michael said.

The LED bracelets will be integrated with the concert's atmosphere throughout the performance. "The light will synchronize with the music; different songs will trigger different colors," Satrio explained. After the show, fans are welcome to take the bracelets home as souvenirs.

Targeting an Audience of 50,000

The promoters are targeting a crowd of 50,000 Westlife fans to fill the GBK Main Stadium in early 2027. Tickets are priced starting from Rp850,000 to Rp2,750,000, excluding taxes and administrative fees.

A Promoter Presale will be available on May 21 and 22, 2026 (from 10:00 to 23:59 Jakarta time/WIB), followed by General Sales starting on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:00 WIB.

- VIP Package: Rp2,750,000
- Cat 1 (A and B): Rp2,500,000
- Cat 2 (A and B): Rp2,250,000
- Cat 3 (A and B): Rp1,850,000
- Cat 4 (A and B): Rp1,450,000
- Cat 5 (A and B): Rp1,250,000
- Cat 6 (A and B): Rp850,000

VIP ticket holders will enjoy exclusive benefits, including a VIP seating ticket, special Westlife merchandise, access to a dedicated merchandise lane, an exclusive VIP laminate and lanyard, and a specially prepared photocard.

The Westlife World Tour

Westlife recently released their latest album, 25 - The Ultimate Collection, which chronicles two and a half decades of international pop success. This compilation features 21 of their most popular tracks, including "You Raise Me Up," "Uptown Girl," and "Flying Without Wings," alongside new material recorded by Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, and Mark Feehily.
