France vs Sweden World Cup Lineups: Full Strength at Both Sides

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The French national team will face Sweden in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 4:00 a.m. WIB (Western Indonesian Time).

France fielded their best formation in this match, and Sweden did the same to put up a strong fight, according to FIFA.

France entrusted the goalkeeper position to Mike Maignan, while the back four consisted of Jules Kounde, Dayot Upamecano, William Saliba, and Lucas Digne.

Furthermore, Aurelien Tchouameni and Adrien Rabiot were in midfield, while Michael Olise was in attack.

Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola were on the wings, while Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé was selected as the spearhead.

Sweden, on the other hand, used a 3-4-2-1 formation, with coach Graham Potter entrusting the goalkeeper position to Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.

Sweden's three defenders will be Victor Lindelof, Gabriel Gudmundsson, and Gustaf Lagerbielke. The midfield positions will be filled by Elliot Stroud, Lucas Bergvall, Yasin Ayari, and Daniel Svensson.

The next two players will be positioned behind the strikers: Anthony Elanga and Alexander Isak, while Viktor Gyokeres will be the striker.
