TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's Ministry of Manpower has reopened the registration for the National Internship Program 2026 on July 15, 2026. The program is now offering a quota of 150,000 participants, an increase from the previous quota of 100,000. The program is aimed at recent diploma and bachelor's degree graduates.

The Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that the government has allocated approximately Rp4.2 trillion for the National Internship Program's second batch.

"On July 15, we will open the first batch of registration for a quota of 50,000 participants. Then right after that, we will open the second batch for 50,000 participants, and the third batch for another 50,000 participants," said Yassierli at the Central Job Market Building, South Jakarta on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Participant registration will be conducted in three phases, with 50,000 participants allotted to each phase for a total of 150,000 participants.

Prior to the participant registration, companies can upload their internship manpower needs through the Magang Hub platform starting on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 12:00 PM local time.

According to Yassierli, all submitted job openings will be verified to ensure they are compatible with university graduates. Additionally, each company will be limited to having no more than 20 percent of its total employees participate in the internship program.

At the same event, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya mentioned that the National Internship Program is the government's effort to expand job opportunities for university graduates, especially bachelor's degree holders.

Successful participants will complete a six-month internship at partner companies under the guidance of a mentor and will receive an income adjusted to the local wages in the area where the company operates.

"Then they will receive significant income, ranging from Rp3.5 million up to Rp6 million per month, depending on their work location," he added.
