Indonesia's Pertamina Adds 5.8 Million 3 Kg LPG Cylinders for Long Weekend

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased the distribution of 5.8 million 3-kilogram LPG cylinders to meet the needs of people throughout Indonesia during the long weekend. Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, said that the additional distribution is being carried out gradually in various regions, taking into account consumption trends and people's needs.

"This step is taken as a form of commitment by Pertamina Patra Niaga in maintaining the resilience and reliability of energy supply, especially subsidized LPG for eligible communities," said Roberth, as quoted from Antara, on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Roberth added that the distribution is being carried out to anticipate the increase in 3-kilogram LPG consumption, especially by households, during the long weekend momentum. "We are taking this step to ensure that people's needs are met and the distribution of subsidized LPG runs smoothly in all regions," said Roberth.

He urged people to buy 3 kg LPG according to their needs and not to make excessive purchases so that the distribution can be even and targeted.

"The 3 kg LPG is a subsidized product intended for less privileged communities, micro-enterprises, targeted fishermen, and targeted farmers. We encourage capable people to use non-subsidized Bright Gas LPG so that energy subsidies can be more targeted," he said.

Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to coordinate with local governments as well as LPG agents and depots to ensure optimal additional distribution during the long weekend. "People can obtain information related to Pertamina's services and products through Pertamina Contact Center 135," said Roberth.
