TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) expects skies across parts of Jakarta to be cloudy and overcast on Thursday morning, June 25, 2026. "Light to moderate rain is likely to hit parts of the Thousand Islands and Tangerang Regency," the agency stated in its weather update on Thursday.
Moving into the afternoon and evening hours, the Jakarta area is generally projected to remain cloudy to overcast. Meanwhile, there is a potential for light to moderate rainfall in parts of South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Tangerang City and Regency, South Tangerang City, Depok City, Bekasi City and Regency, as well as Bogor City and Regency.
By evening, BMKG predicts that the weather across the capital will largely stay clear to overcast. "There remains a potential for light showers in parts of Tangerang Regency and South Tangerang City," BMKG noted.
Temperatures in Jakarta today are estimated to range between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius, while areas in Bogor City and Regency will experience cooler temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.
Humidity levels are expected to hover between 62 and 94 percent, with surface winds blowing from the east to southeast at speeds of 5 to 20 km/h.
"Beware of potential rainfall accompanied by lightning, which could occur in parts of the Greater Jakarta area from evening into the early hours of the morning," BMKG warned.
