TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Board of Peace (BoP) will meet in Cyprus on June 30 to re-strategize the Gaza peace process, according to a Politico report on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, as quoted from Antara.

"[The goal is to] reset [after] the Iran war has completely shifted the attention in the last several months," Politico quoted a source as saying.

The report also said the planned BoP meeting would last two to three days.

Meanwhile, citing CNA, a Board of Peace official said that it holds internal meetings of its component elements regularly, and the Cyprus meeting "is no different."

The board is also "actively preparing measures to advance reconstruction and governance for the people of Gaza."

The National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) will participate in the dialogue, while the Peace Council's High Representative for Gaza, Nickolay Mladenov, will also reportedly attend.

Cyprus will participate in the meeting as an observer, following a decision by the Board of Peace's executive committee, an official said.

Last May, a Financial Times report, citing multiple sources, revealed that the council's financial fund set up by the World Bank had not received any money from donors for the previous four months.

The Board of Peace subsequently denied the report.

In March, Politico reported that US military strikes against Iran had slowed the Gaza peace council's progress.

The Board of Peace was established following the United Nations Security Council's (UNSC) adoption of Resolution 2803, which mandated the implementation of US President Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan by November 2025.

Then in January, President Trump announced the formation of the Board of Peace and invited approximately 50 countries to participate. The council's inaugural meeting took place in mid-February, with representatives from 20 countries at various levels attending.
