Ex-Prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah Named Corruption Suspect

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police have named the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, a suspect in a corruption case. Investigators have also assigned the same status to a private citizen identified by the initials DR.

"We have conducted a case hearing and named two suspects, namely DR and FA," said the head of the National Police's Corruption Eradication Task Force, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, during a press conference at the Attorney General's Office building in Jakarta on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

House of Representatives Law Commission Chairperson Habiburokhman, who attended the press briefing, confirmed that FA refers to the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah.

However, the police have handed over the investigation of three alleged graft cases involving Febrie to the Attorney General's Office. These three cases involve corruption at state insurer PT Asabri, steelmaker PT Krakatau Steel, and a coal supply scandal that triggered widespread power outages across Sumatra. Totok maintained that the transfer was executed for the sake of synergy.

Despite his suspect status, Febrie Adriansyah has not been taken into custody. Meanwhile, DR has been detained at the Jakarta Metro Police detention facility since yesterday.

Totok stated that investigators have questioned 15 witnesses and two experts, alongside conducting searches at several locations. Authorities raided Febrie's residence in Sentul, Bogor Regency. Inside the house, officers uncovered a safe concealed behind a wooden wall. Investigators subsequently confiscated 74 kilograms of gold and roughly Rp476 billion in cash.

The police also raided the Cafe de'Clan Signature in Cipete, South Jakarta. In the same neighborhood, officers searched a shophouse on Jalan Asem II.

Furthermore, investigators targeted the offices of PT CBS in East Cengkareng, West Jakarta, and Penjaringan, North Jakarta; the office of PT KNI in South Petojo, Central Jakarta; the residence of an individual identified as MN in South Tangerang; and the Koin Money Changer in South Cipete, South Jakarta.

Investigators also searched the home of an individual identified as TK in Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta; the DMG office in Kuningan, South Jakarta; the office of PT TML in Karet Kuningan, South Jakarta; the residence of an individual identified as DR in South Gandaria, South Jakarta; and a unit belonging to MILDK at the Pacific Place Apartments.
